Care of knitted sweaters

If we want knitted clothes to serve us for a long time and remain beautiful for as long as possible, we need to properly care for them.
- It is best to wash knitted items by hand in cool water (wool washed in hot water usually shrinks irreparably, so water no warmer than 30 degrees is best suited) or in a washing machine in the mode intended for wool. Although I always find hand washing more reliable.
- Soaked knitwear does not need to be scrubbed hard, just let it soak, then gently press it a few times, and then squeeze out the majority of the water after removing it from the water. It is best to use detergents designed for wool.

- After pressing the knitted fabric out of the water with your hands, it is best to place it on a thick towel that absorbs water well and after rolling the "roll", press and twist with your hands so that as much water as possible is absorbed into the towel.
- It is recommended to dry knitted items horizontally on a flat surface, a real towel, a sheet folded several times or another piece of fabric that absorbs water well. After straightening the washed knitwear, it can be easily stretched lengthwise or widthwise, thus giving it the desired shape.
